The Hoja de Ruta de Financiamiento para la Circularidad de los Plásticos en la Ciudad de México assesses the country’s financing landscape across the plastic value chain, estimating the investment required to achieve city-level targets for reducing plastic pollution by 2040. Building on the Mexico City Action Roadmap, this roadmap uses a system-change approach. The analysis identifies financing needs and gaps across upstream and downstream interventions and sets out priority financing mechanisms, policy levers, and investment pathways to mobilize capital for a circular plastics economy.
