Pakistan Plastics Sector Gender Equity and Social Context Assessment

SDGs Impacted

Capturing the human impact of the plastics pollution crisis globally is critical to driving effective and fair interventions to resolve the challenge. In Pakistan, a range of communities interact with the plastics value chain: waste workers, women, and children face the most direct impacts.

This social context assessment aims to explore the human dimensions of the plastics challenge in Pakistan, noting that those already marginalized are often most acutely impacted. It also proposes solutions for change.
